I haven't seen this posted anywhere (search function inclusive), but does anyone know if there are any significant differences between these two PCDPs? Is d-ne500 really an upgrade, or just a higher-priced shell + remote? Personally, I'm inclined to go ne500 because I think the black one looks badass...but vanity alone is a hard sell.

The NE500 specs says it uses 1 AA for 60 Hours at 48kbps/G-Protection 2.
The amazing thing is the NE500 runs for 70 hours of Audio CD playback!!!

The NE300 is lighter by 0.4 ounces, which i find very strange since the NE500 is slimmer and has only 1 AA in it.

The NE500 has a non-LCD remote
