Hello,

I currently have the Cypher Labs Duet amp and have been enjoying the sound overall, it's very detailed with a great mid-range, and doesn't hiss at all/has a perfectly black background with IEMs. Compared to the ALO Rx Mk3-B+ amp, the Duet sounds a lot cleaner, and in some cases more detailed with IEMs probably due to the blacker background.

Anyway, I just noticed on the specs for the ALO International+ amp that it seems to share similar characteristics with the Cypher Labs Duet amp.

Cypher Labs Duet specs (from: http://www.cypherlabs.com/products/algorhythm-duet/):
Frequency response in both balanced and unbalanced mode:
• 5Hz-150kHz ±1dB
Gain Settings:
• Low: -6dB
• Medium: +3.5dB
• High: +15dB
Balanced output power with both channels driven:
• 70mW into 32Ω
• 100mW into 50Ω
• 240mW into 300Ω
• 120mW into 600Ω
Unbalanced output power with both channels driven:
• 70mW into 32Ω
• 100mW into 50Ω
• 240mW into 300Ω
• 120mW into 600Ω
Impedance:
• < 1Ω

ALO International+ specs (from: http://www.aloaudio.com/the-international-plus):
Frequency Response : ±1 dB: 5-50,000 Hz
Maximum Output: 12 V Peak to Peak
THD+N: 0.001% @ f = 1 kHz
Input Impedance: 30k Ω
Output Impedance: <1 Ω
RMS per channel, both channels driven
Output Power - Balanced: · 70 mW into 32 ohms · 100 mW into 50 ohms · 240 mW into 300 ohms · 120 mW into 600 ohms
Output Power - Unbalanced: · 70 mW into 32 ohms · 100 mW into 50 ohms · 60 mW into 300 ohms · 30 mW into 600 ohms

They also seem to share a similar battery life in amp mode, although the Duet lacks any DAC stage that the International+ has.

Anyway, I've been considering maybe picking up the ALO International+ for use w/ my RWAK120-B on-the-go, since the Cypher Labs Duet is slightly wide and the form-profile awkward when stacked with the RWAK120-B. Since the International+ is somewhat less wide, it seems to match up with the profile of the RWAK120-B a little more, making it more pocketable than the RWAK120-B + Duet stack, I'm assuming.

Besides the form-factor, does anyone know how the sound of the International(+) compares with the Duet? Should I expect a similar sound, or an improved/better sound, with the International+ (as compared to the Duet)?

Thanks.
