I use my mixamp tr with ss off. I can locate sounds better.
But i was considering one of these just so i could power the hd650s and run a antilion mic for ps4. Anything i should know about.
I know its not optical on ps4.

No, however reduce the Audio Level of the device through the Ps4 device menu and set it to 80%

Else you will get clipping

  They would have to give Dolby or DTS $$$ since that's what the PS4 can output.
The GSX amps are driver and software free on PC, you configure them as 7.1 sound cards when you plug them in, this isn't possible with consoles.

I'm curious about the GSX amps for PC use, although I'm not sure how much it'll benefit my setup. I'm already getting virtual surround for gaming via my Sound Blaster Z. The money might be better spent on a Schiit stack.

Alright, I just picked up this thing 30 minutes ago and my jaw is still sore from hitting the floor.
 
I've never had a dac\amp before, always plugged straight into phones\computers.
 
Hooked it up to my PC and wow, the music that this thing puts into my Fidelio X2s is absolutely stunning. Never heard anything like it. Just wow!
I havent tried gaming yet, but damn Ive been missing out all these years.

Well the GSX1000 has just popped up on amazon.co.uk for release tomorrow. Just ordered one. Will update how the surround is.

LOL will post something up once it arrives. I would prefer someone more qualified to do a review though. Especially as I've been using on board for the last week after selling my G5. Think a potato would blow me away at this point LOL

Do some recordings with fraps or similar. I would do it and compare with SBX of the X7 but no money for this stuff right now.
