Just unbelieveable. I have a brother who plays uke as a large part of his life. He would weep.....

Freakin awesome!

But on the other hand... THAT'S NOT WHAT A UKE IS SUPPOSED TO FREAKIN' SOUND LIKE!

The side of me that's open to cool new things thought that was damn impressive. I think LFF introduced me to this guy's music before... But the other side of me, the side that grew up in Hawaii, feels that the uke is not supposed to be that kind of instrument... Oh well... These are the kinds of things that keep music fresh.

Yup, Jake Shimabukuro is simply one of the most talented Ukulele virtuoso out there from Hawaii. He has a very big following in Japan and is now gaining fans and a following on the US mainland. Jake's younger brother Bruce Shimabukuro is also equally as impressive and the both of them started playing the Ukulele at the age of 4. As nabwong has mentioned if you think that vid of Jake is awesome, you simply need to see him in concert as you will be blown away at way Jake can play his Ukulele and the many different genere of music he can play on his Ukulele. Few other previous threads here on Jake:
