Some shops in China (taobao.com) are accepting pre-orders now. One of them told me the release date is sometime in June and it's gonna cost a bit more than the AK120.

Damn, that is mucho dinero. My fanboyism is shaken to the ground and is about to perish.

How can I bring myself, not to buy a ZX1 aiaiaiaiiii dios mio

If that's accurate I too have lost interest :frowning2:

I'm not saying that the P1 won't be worth that much, as I've clearly never seen/heard one, but that much money is definitely out of my price range regardless of the competence of the DAP.

And so It begins. Astell & Kern's aggressive pricing reflecting back onto the consumer DAP market.

I seriously hope that it´s not going to be THAT expensive, mostly because they never had products so ridiculously priced. It´s just like a brand of "normal" cars like Hyundai suddenly releases a new car that wants to compete with Lamborghini and Ferrari.

Now let's see if this player recycles any parts from their players of 4 or 5 years ago, like they have done so often in the past......

Maybe that taobao preorder guy just is just trying to make some money, by ultra-over-pricing the preorder price.

I could live nicely with the ZX1 pricerange.

... and it would have to be very very good to compete with the iBasso DX90. Different markets I guess - the pics of the P1 are certainly sexy, but if sound is your major requirement the DX90 is hard to beat on value for money.
