So I've got an HM 801 coming my way and I'd like to get the inside scoop from any of you owners and past owners. I'm in the process of rebuilding my inventory after a recent liquidation and right now I'm rocking the Heir Audio 4.Ai and the Beyerdynamic DT1350

Now the Questions:

1. How necessary is the GAME card for IEM use?

2. I've had my eye on the HD 650 for a LONG while. Will the 801 properly drive them?

3. Anyone know how this ugly person will play with the 1350?

Thanks in advance, gentlemen.

Thanks for the info. Not to pester you, but would you say the the 801 can power the 650s to close to their full potential, or will I be needing to invest in a desktop rig?

Depend on your desktop rig I guess, but from what I heard you should get sastisfactory to near perfect performance , so should be good enough, the dt1350 should sound like any other D1350. I should try again with my friends 801 tommorow (I don't have dt1350 back then)

I use DT1350 with HM-801 -

I can't imagine a better portable sound, and to me the internal amp is superb, no need to amp.

Yes it's an ugly brick, but sounds like Super Model.
