I was thinking about doing a steampunk makeover of one of my amps and was hoping to get recommendations for cool looking tube recommendations.  Metal bases, weird shapes, etc.  Hopefully I can find non-functioning ones for cheap.  If you have non-functioning tubes that would look cool for the project for cheap, please PM me.

Look up the 6sn7 globe. Or things like the 101D. Not cheap if they work, but maybe cheap if they don't.

Also regulator tubes (0D3, etc) glow in neat ways.

I have a box of tubes that will gather dust till eternity, give me an idea of what you were looking for and i can dig through the bits for you.

Thanks guys.  Really, I don't know much about tubes, so I was hoping to get some inspiration from any interesting tubes you either had or have seen.   The specifics of the project aren't fixed as of yet, so big bottles or short dumpy ones could work.  A mix will most likely be used, but I'm not trying to recreate a show sign, just a couple tubes here and there to complete the look.

Yes.  Just for show.  If I get really ambitious, I might incorporate LEDs, but right now just getting an idea of what is out there.
