Hey there -
I just bought a Dacport LX. Because of its portability, I want to use it connected to my Ray Samuels SR-71A (Blackbird) portable amp.
As you may know - the Dacport LX has a 1/4 jack for connection to headphone or head amp. It comes with a RESERVE interconnect cable (1/4 jack to L/R interconnects.)
Here is my question: What's the best way to connect the this DAC to the SR-71A which has the 1/8 connection? I care mostly about not degrading the audio quality with an inferior connection method.
1. I could use the RESERVE interconnect cable and then just use a male 1/8" Stereo to 2 Female RCA Adapter.
2. I could buy a mini cable (1/8 to 1/8) and use a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter at the end of the cable.
Which would be preferable or in fact, does it make no difference??
Cheers!!
