Hi guys,

I have
  1. an X-Fi Fatal1ty card, which has 7.1 analog, a TOSLINK in and out, Red and White connectors (don't know what they are called? - SPIDIF?) and a headphone jack
  2. Creative T7900 7.1 speakers
  3. Sennheisser 650 heaphones

I mainly listen to all of my music on my computer, through that set-up. Don't play games, and DVDs now and again. I was wondering what I can add to it to make it sound better, with respect to adding amps and things.

I am unsure of a budget, but I guess "value-for-money" is a reasonable word. Probably mid-range stuff. I have a Denon hi-fi I put together with a Squeezbox to feed it music also. Certainly no more than, say, $1000 for the various bits.

I gather it makes a difference about what sort of stuff you listen to - so I will say mainly it is bands like the Beatles, Oasis, the Manic Street Preachers, or gentle female singer-songwriters such as Beth Orton.

I have no idea about amps, pre-amps, headphone amps, or anything like that, so you might have to take into account the connectors I have, so that I may connect them up!

Cheers for any help!
