ok,

I have an iMac, a EMU 0404 USB, and a pair of Wharfedale 9.1 monitors.

They have 4 screw things on the back of each of the monitors, 2 black, and 2 red (for High and Low Frequencies.)

The question is, how do I go about connecting them to the 0404, and with what connectors?!

Many thanks,

Ade

I really wish I knew what I was doing, sometimes. I also regret not getting the MAudio BX5as!

Will try an integrated amp then.

A T-amp from Firestone or Trends should be able to drive the Wharfedales pretty well.

If you want a more traditional integrated amp check out the stuff being sold on Audiogon. There is lots of nice stuff there in babied condition, just stay away from super old vintage stuff.

As far as I know Tripath has only one chip so all the T-amps use the same chip but I don't know any more specifics beyond that.

On my page I have links to different pulse amps using different chips:
http://stereo.50webs.com/

I don't know whether Big Joe uses a class-D chip or a class-AB opamp.
