I have beem using Etymotic Research ER4S for the past 4 years and have been very hAppy with the sound and isolation. So mush so that I would never consider getting on a flight without them. Unfortunately after about 50 flights this past year I finally managed to take them out for a minute and stuff them in the pocket an walk off the plane without them. As sad as I am about their loss (attendant "couldn't find them" 3 min after I walked off the plane and realized I left them), I have noticed that I have been tending to split their usage with the cheapo iPhone headphones with a mic often in my day to day commuting.

With that in mind I am looking for a replacement that is more suited to commuting with a primary focus on sound quality (crisp, clear, neutral) but with excelent isolation and a mic. Under $250 would be nice.

Any recommendations?
