8/15/10 edit: impressions thread can be found here - http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/507317/8-14-10-denver-co-summer-meet-impressions

6/11/10 update: the previous date of 7/31 has been changed to 8/14 in order to accommodate Westone.

This will most likely be the last meet I'm going to organize in Colorado. It's been fun but I'm going to hang up the hat after this one. Hopefully someone else will take the initiative for future meets.

LOCATION: Red Lion Denver Central Hotel, Aspen 3A/3B
- Hotel Web site link: Denver Hotels - Central Denver Hotels & Hotels In Denver, Colorado - Red Lion Hotels
- Hotel address: 4040 Quebec St in Denver, 80216 (Stapleton area)
DATE: Saturday, August 14, 2010
TIME: 9:30 AM - 6 PM (room must be cleared by 7 PM) (also please do NOT show up early!)
COST: $5-$20 donations are requested to help cover the cost of the room but not required. Any overages will be given back to Head-Fi.
POWER: main-line power strips and cords will be supplied, please bring enough power equipment for your own system though.

All MOTs/vendors are welcome to attend or send out gear, please send me a PM if you are interested in doing either.

FYI for Meet Newbies:
- For those who've never attended a meet before, please refer to Siburning's Meet FAQ at the bottom of this Web page: Head-Fi Official NYC Annual Spring Meet Saturday, March 21, 2009--Gear List
- To add to Siburning's Meet FAQ, I will also add this recommendation: bring your own music, be it CDs, a USB flash drive, or a portable DAP. Otherwise you might find yourself stuck listening to some weird Turkish music.

VENDORS:
- Head-Direct is providing a demo model of the HiFiMan HE-6 orthodynamic headphones.
- Westone will be attending and bringing demos of the new ES5 custom IEMs.
- Woo Audio is providing a prototype of the WEE electrostatic energizer.

I would be interested in meeting some new folks. I am just starting out with this and am waiting to get my JH 16's delivered. Once I get them I am interested in auditioning some amps and dacs for them to see what pairs nicely with them.

Well, just inquiring.

I did really enjoy the meet last year; still wish I could have came earlier in the day.

I would be interested in a meet sometime in the summer if ASR, Headphone Addict, and others are interested.

Would also be willing to bring all my gear/tubes; still not very much, but more than last year...!

I'd be up for a meet again this year, I'm not gonna be bringing any *new* gear though, as I havent bought anything new since the last one.. but I'd love to see (hear) some of the fancy new gear everyone else has.

A meet would be great. Last year's was nice indeed.

Post #1 has been updated - the meet is now on, for a date of 7/31.

Gear unknown at this point in time but I suspect I'll have the Beyerdynamic T1, among other stuff. I do not expect to still have my HeadAmp BHSE by 7/31, but if I do, then why not, might bring it as well.

I am not planning to attend this year's RMAF either btw, even if another "CanJam@RMAF" is hosted there. This meet will be the last display of my audio gear in all of its glory.

I'll most likely be there...

Squeezebox Touch / SB3 + server as source(s) might only bring one, probably be the touch.

K340
MS1
A/250
and ES3X

Keeping it nice and simple these days

I might be interested but I have a question. I've never been to a meet before. I listen to my gear from my desktop, if I brought my stuff how would I hook it up for others to listen to at the meet?

You could leech off of someone else's source, folks do it all the time at meets. I might be able to offer my source for this purpose, will probably have an unused RCA output.

Ok, thanks. Is the information in your original post still up to date as far as how many people and what kind of gear will be available? What kind of turn out do you anticipate? Only reason I'm asking is cause I live about eight hours away. Would it be worth the drive?
