I was just curious... I've run this test a few times at school and a few times at home. I get well over 2000 kbps at home and only about 500 at school. What's strange is that I have cable at home and my school has a T1 line. I use the same computer, BTW, with an airport card; so the computer is not a factor. Perhaps it is because there are a lot of people using the school's connection at once? Any other ideas?

My school's bandwidth at any given moment is total $hit compared to my home.

1765 kbps on DSL reports. I'm testing from East Coast to West. 215 KB/sec. If I'm on a quick download server I can average around 350-400 KB/sec.

I'm running a 802.11b wireless network here at home, so I think these results are pretty darn good.

At home (right now): 32 kbps

At my dorm room: 5120 kbps

Gotta love an OC3 connection with the p2p file sharing ports limited.
