First of all, I feel utterly selfish making this thread, considering they are probably questions I can find by searching. I did not realize the Cmoy amps were this popular until recently. So here we go...
1) How well do the cmoy amps measure? I'd like to look at some objective measurements.
2) If I were to get one, is it recommended I get one from JDS labs?
3) I understand there are gain switches on these. So does it drive low and high impedance phones well?
4) How durable are they?
5) I understand these need batteries. Can they be USB powered? Do they need a DC power supply if you want them used without batteries?
6) Do amps even make any difference with cheap earbuds (around $20)? I mean sure in-ear phones have high sensitivity in general but in terms of the sound quality I mean.
7) Why is it recommended that people get a standard non-rechargable cmoy amp rather than a rechargeable one (1x 9v)?
