Not a bass head. Need it to be closed, accurate, and balanced across frequencies. Except bass, as I doubt I would be mad about a lack of bass. Most headphones I have heard all have enough for me. Also a bass heavy set would be bad for spoken voice which makes up a decent amount of my listening.
I was looking at the Shure SRH440, denon ah-d1100 etc so price is flexible but lower $$$ with better value is better obviously. Don't see myself spending over 250 though so suggestions above that price might not be so helpful. Currently own Ultimate Ears 700 and an old worn out pair of Senn 201's that will be replaced with this new set.
Oh I forgot to add, I REALLY hate sibilance on sss sounds. Pet Peeve.
