I'm about to build a cmoy for portable purposes but I need to use a 1/4" jack since thats what my SR-225 ends in and I'd rather not buy the adapter. Is there something really cheap similar to the Altoids tin thats high enough to accept a 1/4" jack? Thanks everyone

Around me they used to sell gum in a metal tin, but it only opened at the top, like the eclipse mint tins. But it should be big enough for an amp and the 1/4 jack. So check out some corner stores and candy shops.

Googling some images it does look wide enough, but do you think a 9v battery would be able to squeeze in there as well?

Google stash tin once.... most of them are big enough to accept a 1/4" jack and a few other niceties

I picked up a pair from a shop in SF a couple years ago. A nice Marley one, and another with the Ramones seal on it. Just about big enough for a pimeta with two 9v cells.
