I'm putting together a Head-Fi meet for the January/February time frame. Depending on the response the meet will be at my home in Denver, NC or in rented space nearby. If you're interested in attending send me a PM and I'll put your name on the mailing list.

Wow!  The attendee list is growing fast and although I could handle the number of Head-Fiers, setup space for all the gear would make it very cramped. Consequently I'm moving the Meet to The Verdict Ridge Golf & Country Club  http://verdictridge.com/ which is around the corner from my home. We'll have a 25X40 foot private room with enough tables so everyone can spread out. It will be easy to unload and I'll have at least 1 hand truck available to assist the fanatical gear-heads who just can't leave anything at home. The Club Dining room will be open from 10am to about 5pm for Breakfast and Lunch. The food is good, the prices reasonable. For all you Map-Quest and GPS owners the address is 7332 Kidville Rd., Denver, NC 28037. This is going to be a lot of fun!

Not sure what my gear will be jan/feb hopefully the schiit statement stuff will be out by then. Ill probably have to sell a lot of my current stuff to afford it though. However the lcd3 will definitely be there.

I just got the Darkvoice a few weeks ago. Went a little tube crazy, but I think I found my favorites. Now I'm just burning them in.

Nice, it's easy to go overboard on tubes, I probably could have gotten the statement amp for what I put into tubes for the lyr. I look forward to checking out your dv+choice tubes.

Glad to see there will be some good *ahem* Schiit there, since I've read so much about and haven't heard. I'm particularly interested in trying my K702 on a Lyr, I've heard they are quite a good match.

If they sounds the same as dailydoseofdaly's K701s then yeah, they go well with the Lyr with the right tubes (and I'm sure he'll be bringing them barring a sudden attack of statement gear). Honestly with most of his tubes (and my Asgard) I found them way too bright, but we found one set (of course don't remember which they were) that were a big improvement to the bass and made them a lot more fun to listen to.

Defiant is right on, the RCA Clear top 6cg7 adds bass and rolls off the highs some, I don't know how long I'll have the amp but Dxanex if your out of charlotte we could probably work something out if want to check it out sometime before I put the ad up.

Actually the tubes I like best in my Darkvoice 3322 are RCA 5 Star broadcast tubes, which I like for the same reason; highs are rolled off nicely and the bass sounds punchier. Soundstage is pretty fantastic too. I was just thinking I'd like to try the Lyr if there was one at the meet to compare with the Darkvoice. No big deal! I'm pretty happy (so is my bank account) with the DV..

Course, while the statement gear should be announced by then there's no telling how long it'll be until it's available. Guess we'll have to wait and see what Schiit's up to.

Yeah I'm hoping that they will stick to the end of the year for the amp but it is schiit so we'll see
