hey all, I recently purchased a Sony RZ-R700 MD portable player/recorder. I would like to use the digital output from my cd player (njoe tjoeb 4000) and record directly to the MD player using a digital source.
I am little confused on the cables that are required however. The MD player came with a digital optical cable and the instructions say to connect it to an optical out jack on a cd player to record a straight digital signal. My CDP does not appear to have an optical connection, though it does have a what looks like a single RCA connection on the back labled "digital out."
Is it just a matter of taking a single RCA cable from the digital out port on the CDP and plugging it into an RCA-mini convertor and then into the MD player? I would like to keep the signal digital, and avoid analog altogether if possible. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks
Erebus.
