Hi All

I hope it's ok to post this beginners question here.  At times - not always - I have to do highly concentrated work in a big chaotic open plan office, and it's driving me to a breakdown!  I worked out that with my budget of £100 ($200 roughly) I can't get pure noise cancelling headphones - I tried workmen's ones and they all let sound in.  I figured my only other option is to get good music headphones, where I won't have to have such a high volume as in ear ones in order to block out outside noise.  Next I figured perhaps DJ headphones are best for me.  Am I right so far? Fortunately I don't need to answer a phone or do much talking unless I choose to!

I'm thinking of getting the AKG 618 DJ or AKG 518 LE.  I'm a bit nervous of the AKG 618s as I have a very large head and I read somewhere they might get uncomfortable after a while.

I'd be hugely grateful for any advice - getting the correct headphones could make the difference between my being able to stay at my job and not!!!!

Many thanks in advance
