I use a non-mainstream streaming app on MAC to play music. HQPlayer is said to be very good at oversampling and the DAC I just ordered doesn't do OS (Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE).

Will HQPlayer (or other software) be able to OS the music I play through the 3rd party app on MAC? How would I set it up? Thanks.

Yes, it can upsample Tidal and Qobuz. You can use Roon and then use HQplayer as output or login to these services directly in HQPlayer
