People don't usually check out the "meetings" threads very often, so I often hear from Head-Fi members afterwards that they didn't even know about the meeting that took place.
 
I think exposure is the main issue here in Sydney, where unlike the USA or Asia, there aren't many vendors/reps willing to promote social community as part of their marketing. There's definitely enough people interested in high end portable audio in Sydney, but they seem to be isolated and fragmented.

Hi Guys,

I'm fairly new to the scene would lke to come just have confirm if I'm away that weekend yet but if not I will be there.

Unfortunately my mr speaker ethers are in the US being upgraded and AEONs are on pre order so I won't have anything to bring with me but I'm really keen to try some sennheiser hd800s's as I've been looking at getting some of those as well.

Since the date is approaching, I would like to request on if anyone can give me a car ride over to the venue, from the Sydney Central/Broadway area.
 
As usual, I made a current list of my stuff that I can bring over to the meet, subject to if I can get a ride or not. (I will take them all if they fit).
I hope I haven't forgotten anything.

I have a lot of old headphones but they can be surprisingly good sounding, and hard to get hold of nowadays.

I have a few things coming up this year but no set dates, if it's ok, I will commit closer to the date. I definitely want to come to catch up with everyone.

The NightHawk Carbon/NightOwl Carbon are definitely worth a listen if you thought the original NightHawk was decent but "not quite there".
The new design cable (no longer the annoying solid core) and velour pads really makes a big difference.
