Can anyone comment on the difference in comfort between the HD668Bs and RX700s?

I'm trying to decide between these two sets of headphones as my first set of headphones. Since I will likely be using them for hours on end, one of my main priorities is comfort. The only thing keeping me from ordering the HD668Bs is the fact that they are widely regarded to be uncomfortable, and since I am in Canada, I will not be able to get a set of AKG velour pads for anything close to a reasonable price so that path is not available to me.

Anyways, as the thread title states, I am looking for a comparison in comfort between the two sets of headphones, preferably from someone who has used both.

Edit: I found some velvet replacement pads for the HD681s on ebay from a guy who sells a bunch of other replacement pads. Am I right in assuming the HD681 pads are the same size as the HD668B pads?

The pads on the 668B's suck, period.  The side of my face do not respond too well to the pleather.  I ordered the velvet pads from China and I  hope this will increase the comfort level.

RX 700 comfort ? 9/10. Value price to performance ratio ? 10/10.

Owner of two RX 700, these suckers sound darned good with hard rock. The  more power they are fed , the louder they play, the better they are.
