Would be wise to buy the Sennheiser HD800 given that's very old. Sennheiser is probably working on a new flagship headphone during the last few years which might come out soon?

The HD 800 isn't that old.  The HD 600 on the other hand is over 15 years old yet it still seems like it's going to be around for a while.  I haven't heard anything about a replacement, though I would love to see Sennheiser come back with at least one electrostatic headphone that isn't limited edition.  Stax can use some competition you know.
