I decided to try and make my own interconnects and after I got the cable down (Canare L-4E6S and Mogami W2534) I started looking at RCA connectors and I found myself all over the place.

Maybe this thread can help other people that are looking for budget plugs/connectors. Please feel free to add connectors and by budget let's say about $6 each on the high end.

Important to note what the O.D. (outside diameter) of your cable is and if it will fit a given connector. I was all set to get 10 Switchcraft 3502AAU (gold plated straight plugs) at $1.92 each (seem to offer good bang for the buck) but they accept cable up to 0.203" (5.16mm) diameter. The Canare L-4E6S and Mogami W2534 each have an O.D. of 0.236" (6.00mm) which is too large for the Switchcraft plugs.

Switchcraft Straight RCA Plugs ($2-$3)
Neutrik/REAN
  1. NYS373-* Specifically (O.D. 4-6mm which is a little small for the Canare/Mogami I think)
Amphenol ACPR*
Canare F09 F10
Furutech FP-162 (~$6-$7)
Redco RRCA
ConneX 68139 (WBT Clone?)
ConneX 53455
ConneX 53454
Connex 53453
Calrad 30 Series RCA Connectors
  1. 30-302 Looks Nice
Connectronics Deluxe RCA Plug with Strain Spring (Canare clones?)
TecNec Premium Gold RCA
PE RCA Plugs (many)
  1. PE Gold RCA Super Plug
  2. Dayton Audio RCAGS-LK Locking RCA Plug

Just to name a few, I'm sure there are lots of clones and house brands out there. If anyone has recommendations or comments, especially first hand experience with any plugs on the list as well please do share your thoughts.

I'm still trying to decide on a good budget RCA plug for Canare L-4E6S and Mogami W2534 wire (both have a cable diameter of .236 (6.00mm)). Any recs would be appreciated.

Or any of its variants, I've used it with sleeved Mogami quad (almost identical to your Canare).

Thanks cyberspyder, those look like good budget Neutriks.

Specs say it takes cable with O.D.≤ 7 mm which is wide enough for the Mogami and Canare (6mm) I mentioned. I'm deciding between those and the amphenol connectors (can't pin down the cable diameter for these though) which seem to be geared towards the professional audio world and cost about $2 a piece.
