all right guys, I have a question about this record player. my wife got one for me for Christmas. not the kind of record player that I dreamed of, but it's mine, so I'm stuck with it for a little while at least. I have powered speakers going to this record player and it sounds much much better than the internal speakers, I also got a new diamond stylus, and that helped as well.

my question is this. is there anyway hooking a phono preamp up to this would give me better sound? or wood just a regular tube amp do anything to help with the sound? I would like to have the best of both worlds , and that is headphone use and speaker use. I've been reading that record players with headphone jacks and speakers already have preamps

any suggestions would be very helpful at this point.

my question is this.
