I'm looking to connect my laptop to my home receiver using some sort of wireless. Tried an FM transmitter and was very disappointed. Now I'm researching using Bluetooth.

To date I've found Logitech's Music Anywhere system, which is a bit pricey. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any other alternatives I should consider?

Forget about BT, it lacks the bandwidth. If your notebook has 11g compliant WLAN on board (or a PCMCIA slot to add it) you could use

AirPort Express ("limited" to iTunes on Win, can be used with anything on Mac OS X via AirFoil )
or
a Squeezebox (more expensive IIRC, but hey, it now can access Pandora, sweet!)
