On my first listen is was sort of meh... Nothing really jumped out and grabbed me... I'll have to listen to in a different setting as the first listen was on the way to work last week.
Sounded like a collection of "B" sides but I probably judge to harsh on first impression.
Gotta say I've got all the vinyl the Black Box and the SHM-SACD's but the the SHM-SACD's stop at SBS I love the way the SHM's sound but that's just me I also love the Rhino vinyl as well
Hi everyone- thanks for the useful info on this thread.
I attended Sabbaths The End tour in Sydney Australia on the 23 April 2016.
I purchased The End CD - ripped it to my hard drive & analysed its dynamic range with JRiver Media Player (V20).
Every song is 4 Rick Rubin has butchered these recordings beyond belief - buyer beware...
The concert sound was awful- I guess the bonehead who did the sound check said lets deafen everyone. My friend measured sound from about 60-80 meters from speakers 101db. We used ear plugs designed for concerts thank god.
Big shame as Tony & Geezer & new drummer looked in excellent form. Ozzy struggled but did excellent golem impressions!
