Hello,
I purchased an E11 from
Sky Computer & CCTV, Inc on amazon before viewing any of these threads. It was the cheapest shipped by amazon, so why not? I was unaware there were fakes floating around.
In looking it over, there may be a few things different from pictures I've found.
1) Compare the first picture in this review:
http://www.head-fi.org/t/552605/fiio-e11-the-initial-impression-final-thought with mine:
* Notice that the barcode sticker does not match.
2) The battery is different. Compare with fiio's stock photo of the back cover off:
http://www.fiio.com.cn//upFile/201159931781.jpg with the pretty design with mine:
* Notice that the battery designs do not match
3) My picture:
Compare against the other picture found in the head-fi review linked previously (direct link:
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k240/ofey_s/FiiO/E11-11.jpg )
* The hex bolt on mine is flush, vs slightly skewed in the review
* circuit board right next to/on the right of the green piece mismatches slightly
* the metal prong on the far left of the picture is silvery in mine and copper in the head-fi review
4) Compare the volume knob numbering in the stock photo (
http://www.fiio.com.cn//upFile/201157922312.jpg) with mine:
I assume both are set to "off", but they look a bit different. My zero appears smaller & is plainly visible, along with a slice of the '1', but the same can not be said of the stock photo.

All accessories look normal.
Are these differences just harmless production changes over the year it's been produced, or are these changes indicative of a fake?
