AT: W5000 or AD2000
Denon: D7000
AKG: K701/2

I would throw on the HiFiMan HE-5 and Audez'e LCD-2... many around these parts have been saying that the HE-5 deserve to be in the conversation on best current production headphones on the planet, and people found themselves split between the HE-5 and LCD-2 at the recent NYC meet.

Sony: SA5000

JVC/Victor: DX1000

< IN?

Also I maybe the only who like the AD2000 more than the W5000. lol.

Add the HE90 to Senn being that it is 'the' big dog.

Current Stax flagship is not the SR-007 but the SR-007A in Japan, and SR-007 Mk2 everywhere else (only difference is housing color). It's not the same headphone as the original SR-007, there are mechanical and sonic differences.

And are we talking about in-production headphones only?

For the D7000 you should specify the Mark L edition.

Gonna extend this to universal IEM's here...

Shure: SE530
Westone: Westone 3/UM3X... hmm, can't say which one would be considered "Flagship"
Sennheiser: IE8
Ultimate Ears: Triple fi 10
Audio Technica: CK100 I think?
Grado: GR8

The UM3X IMO is the flagship for westone. The W3 is more colored and less detailed than the UM3X (but more fun I guess).

Idk if the GR8 deserves to be on that list. I haven't heard it but nor have I heard of outstanding reviews.

markl's LA company is aftermarket, thus not applicable.
