Glad you like it but its IMO overpriced and the AKG 550 has much better transparency and wider and deeper sound stage and very nice bass and may be the best closed phone I have heard except fr the D7K but the 550 IMO really trounces the Beyer. I sent mine back because I found it nothing special and really overpriced for the headphone. I did like the headband and micro pads though. I said it was an OK phone but not enough for me to keep it.

I still havn't heard the K550 other than 30 seconds in a hifistore from a lousy source. Reports say it sounds great though. I guess the prices of the T70 will drop in the future. They are expensive I agree but for me they are worth it. I guess I am a Beyerdynamic fan though....

I agree that the DT770/600 is a great closed headphone. I think the reason T70/T70p appeals to me is because I do not need the bass impact from the DT770/600. I prefer sound signatures like Etymotic ER-4 and bright sounding headphones. Sometimes I even think that my DT-1350 has too much bass impact for what I like best. High resolution and great soundstage is what counts most for me. But we are different in the way we listen :)

So maybe it would be clever for Beyerdynamic to design the T90 for people who find that the T70 lacks bass impact and give the T90 a bit more meat and punch. Anyway I am looking forward to read the first impressions on the T90.

Did you see my post about someones impression on T90 compare to t1?

I also love the W1000X I got on Amazon for 532.00 but the AKG is a winner with all my amps and sources. I too am a Beyer fan just disappointed and expected much more for the price. I know Beyer can do better

Looks good. I'm glad Beyer resisted the temptation to follow Sennheiser's very high pricing for the HD700s

Someone from the Japan headphone expo did have some experience with it. They AB test with the T1.

He said, the soundstage is bigger than T1 but the sound is lacking power. It is bright and the lower end is a bit "unsatisifying".

I think he auditioned with Beyer A1.

Hearsay. I'll wait until actual reviews from Head-fiers come out, and comparisons are done with both the DT880 and DT990.

Looks like we'll just have to wait til August for more impressions :/ . But hopefully some people will be able to get their ears on 'em early and maybe we'll have something worth reading in July!

Interresting it is for sure!
I do not mind that the first impressions says bass light T1 but with bigger soundstage. It probably has the fine micro details like T70 then... But that is just me

dyl1dyl stole my money recently when he pretended to sell some nice headphones to me. He is not a good person at all and should be banned from this site. See our trading history to see the proof.

Does this mean that the non-Pro versions of these will be discontinued, too ?

I was told by Beyerdynamic there was no plan to disco the DT880 and DT990. But you know how that can go:) They are sending me a pair of DT90's to review. Will post pics once I have.
