Interesting! Hopefully these sound much better than the DT990. The T70 and T70P were kind of lack luster to me as they didn't seem that different from the DT770 at all, just more expensive.

Although the T70/T70p sounds a LOT better than the DT770 (80 + 250) to my ears.

So basically T90 is the "new" version of DT990, the same as T70 was the new version of DT770? But, aren't DT770 and T70 completely different in sound signatures? I wonder what to expect from the T90. And I wonder when the T80 will be released.  I was about to pull the trigger on DT880 600 Ohm, but I think I'll wait a bit. I like the fact that they didn't go over the top with price either, 500€ seems reasonable.

I really haven't been excited for a more expensive headphone until now. I am now waiting for impressions when they come out. DT990 600ohms are still my favorite headphones I've owned.

Yes it does sound better, but not enough to warrant triple the price.

I found it to sound a lot like the DT770/600Ohm, but better. It's just my opinion but I found the price to be still a bit high for what the SQ was. I prefer the DT880 to the T70 is that says anything.

Wow. That's an interesting comment. Don't the 770 - 880 - 990 share the same driver? That would only leave the cup design, padding, etc.. to influence the sound in different ways which is certainly the case.

And the T70 with a completely different Tesla driver should sound very different from a 770. My 880 and 990 600 ohm sound completely different than the T70 250 ohm. The T70 is much superior. I wouldn't even know they were all Beyer in a blind test.

Good comments though and just keeps re-enforcing my belief that headphones are a very personal experience. The more I read, the more I am dumbfounded by the differences that everyone experiences with the same phones. Almost every phone has a lover and a hater.

Anyway, good review vids ZX, I enjoy your take on things.....

I absolutely love my DT990s right now. I use them all day everyday and non of my other headphones get much use. Would you say the T70 is a big improvement over the DT990? I would want to get the T90 but the price is a bit too much and i could probably pick up a used T70 on the for sale forum for a relatively cheaper price.
