Hmm - tough call. I have not heard the T70P, only the Mad Dogs. Mad Dogs are very smooooth - that's something I really like about planars. They are a bit warm, which I also like, but some might want more sparkle. The bass is there when it is supposed to be there, but not emphasized. They are very comfortable (LOVE THE PADS!!) but they are heavy.

Because it's more portable

I would not call the Mad Dogs portable. They are big and heavy, and they need an amp.
