beyerdynamic just announced the the beyer T5p in Beijing today.
 
I believe there are (at the time of this posting) only a few units of the T5p in the world, and one of them is right here.
 
First impressions are going to have to wait, as I just received this beyer T5p direct from beyerdynamic in Germany today.

Beyerdynamic is releasing another can? It looks a lot like the T1. I hope it costs less than the T1, then maybe I can afford it.

In the U.S., the T5p will be released at the same price as the T1, $1295.00.

According to comment on another thread, it is for portable usage (hence the 1/8") and it is 32 ohms.

To big to use for portable IMO. The TP50 may be a nicer option.

Also must be a prototype.  I have 2 of those exact same connectors sitting in front of me right now, made into a DIY IC between my D2+ and my Bithead.

Portable use?! I guess the best way to carry around those things is to wear them. Nevertheless, Beyerdynamic makes comfy headphones

For the price, the can replace the big aluminum box the T1s come in, with a Pelican case.
