I think there are wireless headphone receivers you can buy that work with any standard headphone.

Im not sure about the quality you can get, but something to the effect of this should work:

I'm wanting to know who's tried/owns some of the top-end wireless headphone systems around nowadays.
And which in your opinion is the current market leader in sound quality for; Movies, TV, & occasional Music.

If you want high-quality, you won't find it with wireless headphones. They just dont have the power to truely make a great can.

I know there's never (well never say never) going to be a comparison...
I'm not looking for top-notch audiophile grade, as I'll eventually have a decent corded pair for Music.

But I do want something that can mix it with lower end audiophile grade corded cans.
And from some of the reviews I've read this is a reality, hence my interest in users experiences

Can't find anywhere on the net that actually compares a whole bunch of RF headphones! (not interested in BT)
At least not relatively recently... These guys seem to be the main players at a 'reasonable' price bracket...

This looks interesting too but I'm not a fan of in-ear earphones, & I'm not sure how good the DAC is compared to the aforementioned systems.

Plus there's no DSP integrated for positional/multi-channel audio in Movies/Games.

This is even more intriguing as it lets you BYO headphones, but I'm guessing the DAC would be no better than the kleer, & again there's no DSP.

I have the Panasonic RP-WF6000's and really like them. I use them mainly when watching concert videos and find the sound to be very good for music. On movies they do a creditable job of providing surround sound. Wireless range is excellent and I have experienced no interference from other wireless devices. There is a small amount of detectable hiss when the soundtrack is silent but it isn't noticeable generally.

A headphone not on your list that you might want to consider is the Amphony Model 2500:
5.8 GHz Digital Wireless Headphones, Model 2500
I haven't tried them but I have their Model 1500 wireless audio transmitter and it works very well. The audio is transmitted uncompressed unlike quite a few other wireless audio systems.

Interesting re Amphony but 5.8Ghz is not really a unique point of difference now.

Many of the top-end vendors are realising they can no longer transmit over mediums that will only allow lossy audio.
So higher bandwidth transmission is becoming commonplace.

It is fairly unique that they're 5.8Ghz & hence less susceptible to interference.
But anyone who know how to manage their local dual band wifi network very well wont have any issue with the 2.4Ghz ones

They don't appear to have good build quality, so I can't imagine the integrated DAC & DSP (assuming there's one) being good, comparatively speaking.
But if they have other unique features aside from 5.8Ghz transmission I'd love to know!

Yeah I think the RP-WF6000 is still 'as good as it gets' for Panasonic...
So it will definitely by in my initial run-off, not sure it will make it to the final round though

I have the Pioneer and they are insane.
They are big and look silly- but you will find yourself
taking them off to check that the room speakers are tuned down.
I love letting other people try these- the response is usually- WOW!

Does anyone know of any other systems? I mean ones that are $300USD or more.
I've still not been able to find any comparative reviews so I'll start to look for individual reviews & whittle things down from there.

A big knock to the AT is the huge $ premium even though they have weak positional audio features.
I'm sure they'd be lovely for music but at that price one would expect them to be far more versatile!

Keep the ideas/opinions coming everyone, hopefully this will turn into a good resource for anyone researching the same thing!
