I'm new here, I've searched the threads and can't find much info.  Most of it talks bout techno, Dubstep, and hip-hop.  What is your opinion of the best sub $200 dollar IEMs for Rock music?  I listen to a lot of Rock/Metal/Progressive for long periods of time at work.  I'm finally looking for some better IEM's and during the course of my research I've become a little overwhelmed by all the options.

I've been looking at:

Klipsch S4i II: $89
Etymotic HF3: $139
UE 700: $120

These will be getting worn a lot so comfort is a big factor, durability is also a bit of a factor.

You could try out DBA-02 or GR07 or H-100. Great IEMs that compete very well with higher priced IEMs. Just DBA-02 lacks bass and the H-100s mids are quite thin and recessed. You owe it to yourself listening to all 3 of those. I loved my W3 for many years and tried out the H-100... Third of its price and blows it away in every way besides mid bass.

The GR07, e-Q5, BA200, RE262 or R-50 all would work very well with rock.

Yep, Vsonic GR07 MK2 for your genre's. has the bite, grind, timbre you want, electric guitars really scream pleasure with GR07, can a sound a little thin though depending on your source in the mids, sibilance can be a problem for the first 250 hours. and.... there's not much soundstage depth, but for rocking out to metal and rock genres they sound pretty good. Some of the best timbre you will find under $200
