Hello,

I hope this is the right place to ask, I am in the market for a new/used phone to be able to enjoy wireless audio with a Fiio BTR 5, maybe you guys can help me with this. :)
I only use my phone as a phone and music player (with the occassional Google Maps usage here and there) so my requirements are rather modest, namely:
  • affordable (<250€ new/used)
  • small in size (my favourite would be a <5" almost bezelless screen)
  • slot for high capacity microSD card (400+GB)
  • not too slow (as in five year old CPU)
  • decent screen (doesn't have to be great!)
  • stock or close to stock Android
  • LDAC
  • from a company that doesn't stop supporting its phones with updates after a year...
  • USB-C would be nice as I hate that micro-USB connector.
Not needed:
  • camera quality is irrelevant.
  • headphone jack isn't needed because I want to go wireless anyway
Right now my favourite is the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact (can be had used within my budget) but my dream would be something like the iPhone SE with a much better body to screen ratio (and proper BT audio codecs...) but I didn't even come close to finding such a phone.

Do you guys have any other recommendations?
TIA!

Htc m10 or maybe axon 7 mini, or lenovo vibe x3 or samsung s3 (wolfson)

Hi guys,

I'm on the search for a new DAP. I had the LG V20 in the past and I enjoyed the SQ but it was stolen sadly. I'm looking at the V30 and I can get it brand new for about 300 us dollars. I also had the Hidizs AP80 but sold it cause I never really enjoyed it or felt that was a difference from my galaxy s9.

I'm also talking a look at AliExpress and there's a promotion coming for the 10th anniversary or something like that. I'm specifically looking at the Shanling M2X and Fiio M9 which can be bought for about $200 to $250 respectively. I could also wait for the Hiby R3 pro to be on sale again. Also the Hidizs AP80 (again) copper version which supposedly is tuned differently than the regular version.

So, has anyone compared the SQ of the V30 to the above DAPs? I like the fact that the LG has a nice OLED screen, Google play services from beginning, Spotify, tidal, Deezer, SoundCloud and so on, and also the fact that I enjoyed the V20 a lot in the past. I'll only be using IEMs with any portable source I choose in the end, including the Shozy Zero, AAW A2H, Final Audio E2000, KZ ZS5, Shozy 1.1.

Any advise will be welcome :)

My suggestion might be wrong but in $300 range I would rather buy LG instead of DAP.

If I want to buy DAP, I would set my budget to $900 at least thus I would see a big jump from smartphone to DAP. Otherwise,.I consider buy dac/amp or usb c dac adapter instead.

Guys, I need your help
Since my vivo xplay 5s already start to battery sick ( after 30% then 0%) I start to search vivo xplay6 and, oh miracle, someone on a russian forum gives me a link for a new vivo xplay6 ( any color, any flash memory size, says 1000 available)

It seems unbelievable to me, but I pay for it.
Then DHGATE ask me for a credit card photo, i was very confused, but finnaly, they approve transaction after I send tho them screenshot of transaction detail from my internet bank.
But today seller write to me a message:
because of the coronavirus.the original factory will send the product to you after 125 days.
so can you accept??if you can't accept.please cancel the order.please select the cancelling reason:item not now required.i will refund your money at once and you can get the refunding at once.but if you select other reasons, your money will be delayed.
please understand.
please tell me your idea.
many sincerely thanks.

I dont know what to do now, cause I really need this phone, but Im hardly not believe that It can be the new one and , most important, Im hardly concerned about chargeback period is only 120 days after the purchace.

So please, give me advice, is this a scam, or should I wait for 4 mounth, cause its real?

The seller seems not small, and avarage rating, So, I dont know what to do

Please advise

Thanks in advance
Will be waiting the answer from you soon
Sincerely yours
Korzh Yury

If you can't wait , ask for a refund.

Safety Environment for Transactions

DHgate , according to their site , holds the payment and release it after you confirm the delivery.

I don't know where you saw that 120 days chargeback periode, but if there is indeed one , i think it begins as soon as the order is dispatch , not before .

In normal time , you have to be patient when ordering for China , but with COVID-19 , it's worse.

Update: LG V60 is still using an ESS Saber DACs inside on their device according to Juan Bagnell.(Disclaimer:The conversation with Juan wasn't me, I just download it from LG mobile fanpage in FB.)

I bought a cheap Xperia X compact from ebay (under £60!), to replace my Note 9 as a host for my Q5, as that dac/amp bypasses the phone anyway. It's far more portable than my Note 9, has expandable storage AND usb-c, and of course, can stream all the usual suspects via Spotify, Tidal, YT Music etc, as well as listening to Hi quality flac files via Neutron.
Just a little pointer for those with good portable dac/amps already.

I love my set up personally.
