I'm not a big fan of Sting, but the theme song for Lethal Weapon 3 - "It's probably me" that he did with Eric Clapton and Michael Kamen is nothing short of amazing. I love that song, period. The only recording I have of it (not counting the original VHS lying around somewhere) is on the "Fields of Gold - Best of Sting" album with a big fat "DIGITALLY REMASTERED" sticker on it. I have no hard science to back it up, but the track feels very flat, no dynamics, no nothing. Sounds like it was remastered to sound nice on mp3-players with their standard buds and not much else. Not that it's horrid, just very flat. Is there a high quality recording of this track available anywhere - on CD?
