doesn't seem to be a lot of legit looking places to buy these particular cans, the amazon page seems kinda shady with very few reviews and they don't seem to be the mark ii version, other than the adidas page being 50 dollars more than the non adidas version, are there any commonly chosen place to buy these? are the adidas version the mk ii version by default without stating so? if anyone could shed some light on this subject, i would be greatly appreciative

You can get them for around 200 on electronicsexpo.com if you use a code. Got mine from amaze the other day and they're the correct model.

how is that seller? i have never heard of them myself. can anyone shed some clarification on whether or not the "originals" are indeed the mk ii version? or if not, which is?

I'm almost 100% positive that the originals are the mkiis because they only make the mkiis now. There's no point they would manufacture the mark I and mark ii. And who knows, if they're certified but you can find that on the sennheiser website by looking for licensed dealers.
