My primary phone is a iPhone, so please excuse my ignorance with Android… but I’m asking for Android hoping it’ll be less expensive and offer better Bluetooth.

This Android will be used for a singular purpose, to connect via USB to my Topping DX3Pro+ via a JRiver proprietary app (Jremote) for accessing my JRiver media server. Therefore, the minimal requirements are…

USB, rather than a 3.5mm SE headphone connector (USB-C?)
Wireless charging would be a plus
Bluetooth aptX HD (or LDAC) would be a plus for rare occasions

Hopefully, I can find something used for $200 (?)

You can get new phone for that price. I'd suggest looking for something with sd card support for more flexibility. wireless charging is not something you'll find in a budget phone however, need a few more years or add at least $100.

check theses small android phones: https://www.unihertz.com/collections/all-products

I assume you are american otherwise I'd have suggested any xiaomi redmi phones. anything with qualcomm cpu can be rooted and have as much flexibility as android can offer.
