So I've dabbled in high end in-ears before, I currently have a set of the UE triple.fi 10 pros that I picked up during that Amazon sale last year. My sister came to me asking what's a good In-ear to replace the stock buds on her ipod. I guess all my belittling finally got to her

. As the title says she really only wants to spend around $30, less is obviously fine, maybe a tad over $30 but I wouldn't count on it.

Buds or Canal should be fine. I'm just wondering what are some good choices for this price range as its not something I usually pay attention to.

Meelectronics M9
Soundmagic PL21/PL30
ViSang R01
Ecci PR100
Earsquake SHA (if she likes color and is feeling especially cheap)

This should get you started. Reviews of all are readily available. One set is in my sig but the M9 and PL21/PL30 are head-fi mainstays and there's plenty of impressions.

I found the m9 on Amazon for $20, but where can/should I look to get the ViSang R01 from?

Ebay but unfortunately they seem to have gone up in price from ~$31 to ~$35.

I have only heard the m6's, but they are shockingly good for the price point.  They're better than many headphones I have heard under 150 dollars, and full sized too, not just IEMs.

I'd recommend sonicgear earpump2, it's a Singaporean brand that I've hardly(read: never) seen posted around here. It goes for around $26 in singdollars so it's really cheap. They are a big upgrade from stock ibuds and has great bass. Treble is clear too, good fun earphones. The m6s are great too.

+1 on meelec products.  ipicked up a pair of m6 earbuds a few weeks ago for 15 shipped through amazon.  and just last week i picked up the m9 for 10 shipped through newegg.  i think newegg might still have the m9p for 12 or 13 shipped.
