Hi guys

I am chasing some new IEMs to suit walking, running and the gym. Current sets I have just keep falling out.

- Up to $100. Can stretch over budget if needed.
- Listen to literally everything but mostly EDM so need something with tight punchy bass
- Wired
- NO microphone or volume control

Anny suggestions or help are greatly appreciated!!

I'm wondering why your current earphones fall out, are they earbuds (non-sealing)?

Whatever may be the case, perhaps look at something with a cable which goes over the back of the ear which will help keep them in place.

The Shure SE215 is a good one for EDM, plenty of bass and quite forgiving with tracks which may not have been mixed mastered so well, or mixes with the same issues -

I think the Audio Technica ATH-IM50 might be perfect.

I run whilst listening to music and have not found any IEM's which are sweat-proof and will stay in my ears, this might be more to do with my ears than anything else!
For me if the phones are genuinely for running then its more important to get the fit right than the pursuit of absolute sound quality, so I use the sennheiser sport range and I like the ones with the neck strap like this :

They sound reasonable and absolutely never fall off or interrupt my run by being a pain in the ass - they are also small and sturdy enough to not get hot whilst wearing them and are water resistant so i can wear them without them being damaged.  For me, I just want to run and not have stop and faff about with my earphones when they fall out or get tangled etc etc

They do have bass and sound pretty good but obviously you can get much better sound for the money if you an live with a non-sport type IEM.

Do you use a shirt clip? highly recommended if not.

If you are happy using earbuds you might try something like these Earhoox which are little silicone fins that wedge into your concha (there are also a number of IEMs that use them particularly sports models like Joltax suggested): https://www.amazon.com/Earhoox-Round-Earbuds-Attachment-Skullcandy/dp/B00FGDRXTC

Otherwise for IEMs in price my two favorites are Zero Audio Carbo Tenore or JVC FXH-30 (for more $$ on the larger side Zero's Duoza or JVC's FXT series). They are not very durable, but comfortably small, <$50 and nice sound for the price. IF you sweat profusely probably better to stick to sports headphoens like Jolltax suggested.

You could get a set that suits your sound pref and just buy a wee rubber earhook cheap as chips. Just make sure the cable is fairly flexible (i.e. not rubber or flat). like this...

RHA M750 go over ear and have great bass, more deep than mid bass. Great all rounder, big sound. Good detail level. i used to go running with them, although not in the rain.

My advice though... There are loads of quality budget sets that are cheap so if they got damaged you wouldn't mind, some have sound as good as any $100 sets. Check out the Asian Sub $100 thread on HF.

I've got a great cheap set, HiSoundAudio Flamenco (£15)... they are tiny and go really deep, still comfy and the cable is really light, all you'd need is a wee clip for your top. They aren't going anywhere when in IMO. They sound GREAT. Detailed and very deep punchy bass. They beat my other bassy set, Yamaha EPH-100 (£75). If I'd paid £50+ I'd still be impressed.

Try buying Spinfit tips, they go really deep and don't fall out. The OP is also using them for walking around in.

I second the ma750, but it may lack the mid-bass for edm. Just depends on your preference. They also have a 3 year warranty so if there is a defect within 3 years they will be replaced. Only problem you may run into is the isolation is rediculous so you won't be able to hear anything but your music while you are running. If you are on a treadmill or maybe a track that could be ok, but if you regularly run along roads that could be a problem.
