I'm looking for some decent headphones well worth my money. Ive looked at some, including the Audio Technica SJ series, the sennheiser hd 238s, and the ATH-M35. Some other recommendations would be nice too. I'm a newbie when it comes to headphones, but my old jvc ear buds aren't filling the bill. Too much crackling.                   PS. I listen to a lot of rock and bass heavy electronica, but don't overdo the bass, i still want to hear the vocals.

Koss Pro DJ100 all day long. We actually have discussed these at length in a few threads, and Amazon has them priced at $50 right now.

You could buy the Tony Bennett version for $80 if you want a case and detachable cable.
 
These are easily my pick for headphone under $150. Do some research of course, but I listen to the same genres you do 90% of the time.
