I'll say it again, believe me, KSC75 is the best sound you can get under 60 bucks

What's your opinion re KSC75 vs. G2A?

The G2A is more accurate than KSC75 to my ears. I only recently bought the G2A because I was curious. I favor detail above bass quantity and the G2A is the winner here...IMO.  I do realize that the G2A costs 3 times what KSC75 does.

no experience with G2a here, but I recently bought the G1a. They're better then KSC75, but to be honest, I expected the difference in quality to be bigger. Have to say I have the G1a's only a couple of days and didn't have much time with them yet.

AH, new to you too...well I was brave for $50 but not $150 lol. It really does take many days of listening to get a grip on the sound of any new HP...this is what I refer to as brain burn-in, and some actual driver burn-in in some cases, however small.

yes, you're right, very agreed.

I'm waiting on the new coming portable amp (the English Neco v2 'tank') to arrive to really judge those 150 ohm G1a's for on the go usage. Don't want to make a judgement too fast on this one, meanwhile, getting used to them, or 'let my brain burn in/get accustomed to it'

Denon P372 <=== my fave under 40$
Equation RP15 (if you like bassy dark signs) circumaural, also my fave.
KSC75 <=== my fave under 20
or even the ATH FC700, if you dont mind it being "slow"

check out the FS forums, goof stuff at good prices sometimes.

BTW, a bit more and you can get the grado SR60

238's are brilliant, have you even listened to them? The KSC75 sound like standard headphones mate

 offcourse I've listened to them and a whole lot more portable's. I'd choose KSC75 over 238's or 228's or px100 anyday.

By the way, people are not 'lying' here (at least I hope not), they are giving their opinions, and they can and may differ.

I own a HD 238 that I will keep until I make my next purchase (Fischer FA-003s or M50s) and for the price I paid for them they are very good, but I highly, highly recommend that you save up and get something at the 100 to 200$ level to avoid the level of buyer's remorse I have

So are the grados really THAT much better than anything mentioned here?  Also I will try to test the KSC75 and denon p372.

that one is delicious :wink:
make sure not to judge them right out of the box!

grados are, IMO, best bang for buck , specially when SR60i used to be 60$, SR80i at 99 is a really good option for desktop headphone, same price is the K240 studio but grado beats it, except in comfort. i had never tried the iGrados
