I have a pair of the QC15's that I got as a gift, however I'm not terribly impressed with them especially when it comes to studying in the library, or blocking out roommate noise when I'm trying to sleep. Problem is, I don't have anything to really compare them to. I do like the design however. So essentially what would you recommend in the 200-250 dollar price range that meets these priorities.

1.Noise Cancelling
2. Can be versatile in quality for a variety of different casual music listening.
3.Design/Fit (Again I like the design of the qc15's so if possible, something similar in look.)

Heya,

What kind of sound do you like? Really you can get away with passive isolation. Active cancellation heavily limits your options. That said, try and describe what kind of sound you want to look for. Neutral... bassy... bright... dark... etc. Kind of walk us through what kind of sound you like. My first thought since you already have the Bose but want something different is to probably take a look at the Logitech UE 6000.

Very best,
