The Grado SR 225i has good bass, but it's not for bassheads. The problem for you is that is open and leaks a great deal.

In the U.S. the closed Shure SRH 840 is about the same price as the M50. It's more balanced--has great mids and a mid bass hump. Originally it cost almost twice as much as the M50. It's a better choice if you want a balanced sound--if you can get it.
