I'm some What of a newbie. I need a decent desktop amp that will enhance my listening experience. I would prefer some thing with as much options as possible. Tube / DAC..ect

I agree. Schiit definitely makes good, affordable DACs and amps.

Yeah...Schiit is good. My Magni has no problem driving my HD600s, and that's only $99. One of the things I like about Schiit is that everything is modular, too. So you can pick up Modi for your DAC, switch in a Vali if you want tubes, and they designed the higher end DACs to be upgradeable. So if and when better components come out, you can grab an upgrade board for your current DAC instead of having to buy a new device.

I'll comment on Valhalla if USPS will ever get it to my doorstep...

For the HD800s, the Vali and the m-stage hpa-2 are great budget options.
