Best cheap over ear headphones?

Do you want on ear or around ear? If on ear, I would recommend the Koss Portapros, KSC75s, or Sennheiser PX100s.

I bought some Shure 240's today and FOR THE PRICE sound amazing. I paid about $35 for them new at a local big box store (starts with a B). I have the Koss Porta Pro and KSC 35's and these actually sound better to me.

They're $60 retail, but you can find them cheaper online. When I look at them I can't believe how good they look for the price.

I listen to Japanese pop and they sound really good for that type of music. I liked them so much that I upgraded to the Shure 840.

Thanks. Does anyone know if any of these would fit better on smaller heads? They are for a 6 year old. We originally got her "kids" headphones (the Sony ones), but they still cost $15, and are pretty crappy, and I think reduce the volume to the point where it's hard to hear anything.

the KSC 35 should be ok. it's not too big.

the KSC's seem to clip over the ear. is that right? i need these to have a headband.

are there any good/decent ones for under $20?

i think we are going to have to pair them with an amp most likely. looking at a FiiO E5, unless anyone has any better suggestions for a cheap amp.
