I ust bought a unit with serial #41119. Anyone recently purchased. Trying to get an idea if this is really "6 months old".

anyone know when the DAC1 was revamped last?

I bought a non-rack mount version, and received the rack mount which doesn't fit where it was going to go in my audio shelf. I doubt anyone wants to trade?

Figure I won't here back from Benchmark till Monday ....so anyone?

hum......mine's 38441 and it's over 2 years old

Aparently there were a batch that had some faulty circuits that would overload (or so I was told from the person I bought from). My batch was made before, so it's supposed to be OK. But Benchmark recalled the ones that were faulty, so they should tell you.

Anyone know if the offer faceplates; it seems like they can be interchanged as the component switches in front "pass-through" the faceplate.....
