Despite my best efforts to avoid further expenses for Headfi, I found too good a deal on some pre-populated B22 boards to pass up.  So now I am trying to source the rest of the components as cheaply as possible without sacrificing performance.

I will be going balanced for the B22 and have found these two options for a balanced potentiometer in my current budget:

Do you all have any other suggestions for around $50?

just use the digital volume control in your source? - at most a fixed divider for proper gain structure

Shunted 2 deck pot is a personal favorite for balanced amps.

Can you point me in the direction of more information?  I found an old thread that linked to another forum that has moved.  I can't read the diagram from the old thread.  Thanks!
