Alright, I've got a pair of AV30 m-audio monitors in my dorm, and for some reason, after moving my desk, they make a 3 second buzz on startup, and a pop on shutdown, regardless of the position of the volume knob and of whether or not they are connected to an input. I have tried turning off all sources of RFI in the room, including the flourescent lights and the refrigerator. I have tried directly plugging the monitors into every plug in the room, and also tried plugging them into my grounded Belkin powerstrip to no avail. I definately don't remember them doing this before, but I've had them since August. Should I be opening them up to check if any of the capacitors are blown, or is there a simpler problem/solution?

Thank you in advance.

*shameless bump*

I took the left speaker appart and visually the capacitors on the transformer seem just fine, is there any way to test them via multimeter?
